I love it, but I hate it!

Alright. This is one of the best games on NG, period. It's addictive as hell. Just a few things.

-The special for the Renaissance Age has some problems because it only works for units - if you have no units and not enough money to afford one, you're dead
-I would like to see more units, more in-depth-ness(?) and stuff! An expanded version would be awesome. If you happen to make an Age of War 2, don't plan on changing it entirely, just add onto what it already has!

And so, now I need to make a confession. I just got my grades back for this tri and I got a C+ in AP Comp. I've gotten all As and Bs so far! It's this game's fault my GPA is ruined! Hope you're happy. Haha.

Bugs!!!!

It has bugs. Of the computer kind. A lot. IN fact, I'd go so far as to say the glitches ruined the game. If they were taken care of it would've been much more fun.

Good

The game is good. I really liked it. The only thing is, the whole "enemies start to come faster" thing is flawed. See, I had to quit at level 103 because it was going so slowly. I would've loved to keep on going, but there were so many enemies on screen at once that it lagged really badly. I had to stop listening to music because of lag a little before I had to quit.

If you made the timing eventually become static, it would be awesome. I'd say the speed at maybe level 60 or 70 would be good, and from then on hp for enemies could go up or something. Other than that, nice job! I liked it.

It's good for a first

Okay, it's definitely not the most advanced or best game out there. But it is a first try, and I'm willing to go a little easier on you for that. Here's a couple of tips, from a non-flash programmer's (just gamer) perspective...

-Most TD games use a variety of towers, so if you make another try to incorporate that into it. It's nice if they're all upgradeable too... I'm sure you've played other ones, so try and be like that, basically.
-Make the shooting of the towers automatic. Not only does it save our fingers, it adds strategy.
-Lastly, design a complicated path to add more elements of strategy.

Okay, I basically just listed some stuff you probably already knew... But hopefully it can help you make a kickass game next time!

Yay!

I really liked it =) Maybe it was just because I randomly liked the design of the comrades you were controlling, but I thought it was good! Fiendishly hard too, I got to level 6 and now I'm going to take a break. It really takes a lot of, well, hand-to-hand-to-eye-to-eye coordination. So good job!

Really fun - I reached Level 72!

This game rocks pretty hardcore. The graphics, while not super beautiful, work. Maybe a little more detail, but really, the gameplay is what matters.

There's no sound or music, which is really fine by me. I always like to have music on, and if a game doesn't have any, it means I get to listen to my own.

As for the gameplay, it's really good. I only have a few suggestions.
First of all, make more towers. 3 basic ones which are super upgradable, plus one that isn't at all and one which is truthfully a little too expensive to test, works fine. However, if you had a bunncchh of upgradable ones, that would be really cool!
Also, maybe make it not get so hard later on. I know I sound stupid, but if instead of making it get noticably harder each round until you die over 3 or so rounds at the end, smooth it out, to give players time to catch up. Other than that, I don't really have anything.

Godo job!

It's pretty good

Obviously nothing too deep, but I had fun playing it. It's a nice little distractor.

My only piece of advice, if you want to improve it and get famous or whatever, is to make movement smoother. You need to stop holding one movement button to go in a different direction. I personally would've liked it if you could go diagonally or something, so that that problem wouldn't be there.

Otherwise, nice and fun.

Flame-Reaper responds:

Thanks glad you liked it.

The movement would be easy to make as you said. but i chose against it. I find in games that offer tha much freedom with movement people just go up and down, spraying bullets, i choose this controll setup to stop that, and add a bit more challenge to the player.

Awesome game

This game has everything going for it - good graphics, good customizability, and it's overall just fun.

My only problem is that I'm stuck on the first nationals tourney (#8) and can't seem to win once I get to like the fourth or fifth run. I always start off in the lead, but then the cars catch up and go supppperrr fast past me and win every time. Anybody got advice?

The best game I've ever played

You kept my asscheeks glued on the exact same spot on this seat for over an hour. For that, I congratulate you.

This is probably the best game I've played on NG. It had nice, stylish, suitable graphics, simply incredibly fun/addictivity, good-quality sound, and provided enough different upgrades to keep you hooked until the end for me, although I think I'll shortly be doing endless mode.

I can find no flaws, except for maybe a less repetitive soundtrack, but it's really still quite good.

Bravo.

Leonardo-Da-Finchy responds:

Well, thankyou. Arse-cheek glueing is another thing to add to Imminent's list of achievements. Good luck with defeat mode!

Does no one here get it?

Some people here appear to be insanely stupid. Yes, Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray, and yes, this game is about an Irwin who kills stingrays. Nowhere does it say "I believe Steve Irwin's death was a hilarious incident" or "I wish to disrespect a dead man." In fact, nothing remotely similar to that is said or implied.

The game's simply putting a celebrity's death in a bit of a lighter tone. I don't think any disrespect is implied here. That said, it's somewhat a decent game, nothing new. Decent sound, decent graphics, decent mechanics, whatever. Just for making this though, I'm bumping the score up.

BTW, I noticed some people saying "if Steve Irwin was alive, he'd be very upset, blah blah blah." For reference, if Steve Irwin was alive, THIS GAME WOULDN'T FREAKIN' EXIST. I guess some people are pretty retarted....

Anyways, Nice work =D
